Default Newbie Here Looking for Some Answers

Hi Everyone!

I've been diagnosed with PCOS for almost three years, but I'm just now finding this site (where have I been?). I've been looking through and it makes me feel a bit better already to find a place where I don't feel like a freak

Now to the question...

I've been taking Yaz for the past month and a half (I'm on halfway through pack 2). Sorry for TMI in advance... Three days before the inactive pills, I had a bit of this brown, clumpy discharge along with some thin clear discharge. Two days after that, I had a period. I was heavy (as expected, I didn't have one since April up to that point). While the flow has tapered to a light flow, it's been going on for two weeks. Needless to say, I'm concerned. When should I see my dr? I see an endo, and he prescribed them for me. I also have a gyno that I haven't seen in two years. Any ideas? This has NEVER happened before, and I don't have too many people to discuss this with. I could really use the help!

Thanks a bunch.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you're having problems. Personally the pill and I have never been friends, I've tried many different kinds with varied results.

The thing to remember here is that each brand of pill is not a one size fits all. There are going to be some brands that work and some that just don't gel with your system.

My advice to you would be to consult your Doc about possibly trying another brand that might suit you better. If you tell the Doc about the effect the pill has had on you they will be better be able to work out what alternative brand might work.

Good luck,

Paula

I have no experience with the pills, but have read that a lot of women are not reacting well to it. You can do a search and type in Yazmin. In the meantime, I would put a call in to the doctor.

No more TTC. After 6 years and 4 miscarriages, I am done. Now trying to come to terms with it.

I've never been on that pill so i'm not sure what the norm is on it's side effects. I would call the dr's office, like someone said not every pill will work for you, you might need to try another one.

Welcome to SC
