hi everyone, am i glad i stumbled upon this site! i was diagnosed with PCOS in '98 and been on and off 'the pill' diane 35 since then. didn't think it was a big deal but the past few years i found that i'm having other problems like thickening waistline, some serious mood swings, not sleeping well at all, excessive tiredness in the day... i'm thinking to seek more medical help and am wondering if anyone here is from United Kingdom and could advice me on who to go? i'm obviously on the NHS and can't really afford private. the NHS doctors i'd seen so far didn't seem to know much about PCOS and didn't seem to think it's a big deal at all.
I'm from the UK too... can sympthathise with the NHS issue! As can lots of people on the UK and Irish Cysters board further down... just wanted to welcome you and suggest you post there.
