Default newbie intro

Hi there everyone! I have been dx since just AFTER my dd was born in 2004. I am surprised by this because I had fertility treatments trying for her. I had hsg, lap, ultrasounds, clomid and IUIs. I was told after the lap that everything was normal, but when dd was 10 mos old, I ended up in the hospital with an hemorraging incident and was dx then. The gyn that I saw then said I PROBABLY had it all along, but it MAY have developed from treatment. I don't know. Any thoughts? I saw a RE at the regional fertility program, so you'd think he would know?

I have also had a 13 week m/c last April and a blighted ovum this past october. Could these have been caused by the PCOS and should I be treated more agressively to avoid it again? Currently, at the gyns suggestion, I am taking clomid for 10 days, 150 mg, to keep my cycle normal. He said my options were: 1. Stay on the pill forever (not much chance of another child that way, ever.) 2. Take a chance on hemorraging once or twice a year (yeah, no thanks.) 3. Do the clomid again. We are NOT doing the IUIs again, we're just trying to keep me out of the hospital without guaranteeing no more children.

I look forward to your input and advice.

I would suggest you find a doctor who knows how to treat PCOS. Please check this thread: The Newbie Road Map
