Question Newbie-Intro & Question
Hey everyone,
I am a newbie and I haven't yet been officially diagnosed with PCOS. I have ALMOST every symptom (ie: acne, excess hair,infertility) but, there are two common symptoms that I don't have. I am not overweight (5'5 124lbs) and I get "regular" periods (28-35 days, varies each cycle). Can I still have PCOS without these symptoms...especially the regular periods?

Not everyeone has every symptom. Generally speaking, you will probably have multiple follicular cysts on your ovaries in addition to a few (or many) other symptoms. Not every cyster is overweight. Some are overweight their entire lives, while others are thin or fit and then become overweight as the condition worsens, while some yet are thin and don't struggle with weight problems. Some cysters have regular cycles although that's pretty unusual.

Hi there,

I am in the same situation as you I have always had regular periods and I am not overweight but I was diagnosed with PCOS around 9 years ago after consulting my GP about facial hair. So it is possible to only have some of the symptoms.

My periods were always regular 28 days to the hour...But I had all the "classic" symptoms of PCOS...acne, wieghtloss/wieghtgain, hair growth, hair loss, mood swings etc...
