Newbie with many questions! Hi all!
I have not been formally dx with PCOS, but prelim blood work is pointing toward it. I am lucky that my symptoms do not include weight gain or excessive weight or hair. I have been off of bcp for two years and since then my periods have been very long, about 12 days, with the first 7 days or so just spotting. I have a longer cycle, about 35 days. In November, I got my period two weeks early and it was basically all blood clots and spotting, no regular blood flow, and last month, February, I missed my period all together. I had some blood work done, and my LH/FSH ratio was 30/4.7, and my doctor said normal is usually closer to 3/1, so she suspects PCOS. In addition to the issues with my period, my husband and I have been unsuccessful with conceiving for six months. Also, I have been so exhausted for the past 6-8 weeks, I just don't feel like myself. I am literally tired from the minute I get up to the minute I go to bed, and I am getting over ten hours of sleep per night. My arms are tired from typing this, and my eye lids feel heavy all the time. I have a dull pain (and have for about a month) in the right side of my abdomen, which feels a bit like a bladder infection, and my sex drive is non existant...poor dh. Can anyone relate, and do these symptoms sound like PCOS?? Can PCOS lead to other disorders or diseases?
Thanks to all, and thank you for this site! It is a comfort to see support coming from so many different women.
