Well my story starts with my first period at age 8 ½ and me freaking out because I had no idea what was going on. I had semi normal period until age 15. Then I went a year with 2 periods. The doc told me it was just my hormones and gave me birth control. At age 18 I missed my birth control pill three days in arow and got preggers. After my daughter was born I was told the depo shot was the only safe bc. I will never trust army docs again. LoL. Everyone told me I would lose the weight soon and it never happened I stayed at my pregger weight for a year .I would work out and lose nothing. My periods went back to being totally off While my hubby was in a Iraq I had went to my yearly and had high blood pressure and high blood pressure. a month later I went back to the doc and still had high blood pressure and a fast heart rate. At first they thought it was just stress. Many blood pressure test later I was given meds to slow down my heart and to lower the blood pressure. After three months I had to get meds changed. My body felt as though I never got enough sleep, with a year old and a hubby away I had to get more energy. After three different drugs things seemed to be controlled. Then I went in for my yearly and the doc asked me what the reason for the high blood pressure was and I had no answer. So we started test.... and more test.... it went from heart problems to maybe cancer to maybe its all just in my head. The doc finally said it had to be coushings syndrom but I could not do anything till after I had my baby. Which was his fun way of telling me I was preggers again. After a miscarriage he told me we could now do something and referred me to and endo doc. After talking to the new doc and taking a blood test I finally got an answer to what was wrong with me!!! He told me that my hormones where out of control. So back on bc I went and on an insulin med. I am so glad that I finally know what is wrong with me its nice to have a name for all my issues. I have lost 20 pounds in 3 months finally I can see some sort of light. I am still 35 pounds from my goal wight but I can work out and see the difference on the scale now. We are moving across the country so now I get to go in search of another doc which is never fun, but this time I know what is wrong with me.
