Default newbie need some advise please xx

Hi all i just need some advice really, ive been having really prolonged period for nearly 6 months, the bleeding is lasting for 50 or more days. I stop for a few days then start again. Last week i went and had an internal scan done and they found that i had 10 cysts on my lefy ovary and alot more on my right, is this a normal amount for pcos suffers?? i also had a corpus luteum on my right ovary, what is that??? the lady who did the scan said it was more than likely that i had pcos. But i have to wait until sept to confirm it, she took some bloods and gave me Duphaston to stop the bleeding so that i could go and have a smear test done. She said that unless i took the tablets she could not tell me when i would stop bleeding as the linning of my uterus was still quite thick and that was that. I have also noticed that the blonde hairs that i had on my boobs has now turnt dark as has the hair line underneath mt belly button.Has anybody experienced prolonged bleeding because most of the information i have read says that you dont have periods or they are really iregular. Any advice that anybody can offer me i would be grateful as im in the dark really.thanks xxxxx

I had a period of sustained bleeding. Would bleed for weeks then stop for a week and start again. Apart from it being depressing its also very draining.

I had an ovarian wedge section and then didnt bleed for 3 months. I then returned to a normal 28 day cycle for about a year and was also symptom free from pcos but Im sorry to report it doesnt last. Now have all the symptoms back and intermitent bleeding.

Boo hoo!
