Default Newbie needing advise

I had an ultrasound today. As my OB-GYN said you are text book PCOS. she put me on Low-Ogestrel (BPC) spironolactone 100mg, and metfromin 1000mg. I'm 5'2" 180. Is that a good cocktail? I'm trying to lose weight and was told that South beach was good and won't make the side effects of the met so bad.

Any advise would be great, thanks.

I'm not sure at the meds that your doc has you on but I did read somewhere and now I can't remember where that doing the first two weeks of South Beach wasn't good if you have PCOS. This may not effect you as it may be directed towards those who are insulin resistant, I don't know why. I have done the first two weeks of South Beach in moderation on 2000mg of met and not had problems, but I didn't elimate everything that it says either. This may not be much help, sorry.

I have only had really bad issues with met if I get to many carbs/starch or alot of sugar.
