Hello friends
I was just diagnosed with PCOS . I have only had an ultrasound done and I am wondering if I should have more tests done before I go on medication for it . I am already at high risk for Ovarian and Uterine Cancer my mother had it . The syndrome ups the risk and the Metforam or however you spell it ups the risk as well I can not take birth control pills I become a raging lunatic .
The sypmtoms I have is acne ( which I had all my life ) I do not have it to bad yet though . I have not had my period for three months almost four months . I am emotional very irract with my thoughts and I am overweight with my midsection after having two babies is still not fit and trim !
Help me please if anyone knows if I should ask for more testing when I go in on Friday

If your doctor doesn't take your concerns seriously...Get a new one Do not fiddle for years trying to find anwers because that will just lead to more frustrations - - I had PCOS since age 9 (so we think) and Doctors ignored everything despite the classic symptoms. I have heard the run around of "Eat less, Exercise more" (Even though I'm an athlete or was), "Its puberty your fine", and my all time favorite "Its all in your head" accompanied by a walk to the psyche ward at the hospital..... Get the answers you are looking for so you can start getting better! Good Luck cysters
Edit: Another lil fun fact....Certain tests need to be done during certain times of your cycle and is best to be tested off the bcp's -- (Info from my RE)
