Thanks I hav elearned so much from this site in the last week. I still have so much to learn and so many questions but they are about what my Endo will do when I finally see her. So its not really an answerable question its just a wait and see type. I did have one concern and it was my elevated Prolactin levels which I have asked several times in different posts but reading info from your site cleared up possibilities. Apparently some women with PCOS have slightly elevated Prolactin.

I just wanted to thank everyone for such a wonderful informative website. My new gyno seems to think I have PCOS, she did blood test (still awaiting results) and also a pelvic sonogram ( I just did this in the morning so those results will be in next week) . I think that I have most of the symptoms that are assocated with this ( lack of period for months at a time, hair growth, etc.) My old gyno at planned parenthood would just avoid the topic of my missing periods, she would just perscribe a pack of birth control pills and call it a day. Luckily my new gyno is wonderful ( so far), she finally gave me an answer as to why periods were missing in action ( she also perscribed bc and told me that if I do have pcos that If I chose I could take meteformin). So now I am nervously awaiting the results of the peliv sonogram and blood tests.
