I'm new!! I found out that I had PCOS on May 10/2007, seven days before I was to be married. I've been on Metformin for 7 months and am on my third IUI attempt in June. I've been feeling pretty hopeless about my whole situation. Plus, I'm taking Clomid right now. Has anyone had to do the injectables as this will be my next step if this attempt fails.

Me too, have had sx of irregular period my entire life and was just diagnosed on May 19 from blood work and then my ultrasound on May 27 confirmed my PCO. I have been browsing the internet like crazy simply because I need to do my homework. thanks to the info on the website it offers a great deal of info that I was not able to get from my gyn. Thank you, cysters.

Although, it is disturbing to discover that these people we have trusted with our medical well-being could be so clueless. I am sure I am not the only one who feels a sense of betrayal, but at least now I know what I am up against, and that I am not alone.
I look forward to visiting this site often, and I thank you again for all the information.

But ive not been refered 2 any specialists but im hardly of an age to b worried about having ickle uns anyways. Should i b worried or not !!!

But before when he was talking i would just sit there and think yeah yeah yeah ok...blah blah blah...but i just started to do some research today and i've found out a lot about what I have.

Thank you for putting this together. I was diagnosed in November 2007...think I went thru a little bit of denial. ANyway, I've been on/off my Met since then but have just started back on the meds and I'm going to suck-up the side effects.

Thanks again.

I am happy to learn about PCOS. I found this site a while back but never joined posts or blogs. I enjoy learning from others here and I am excited to share. I was diagnosed about 11 years ago in highschool. I just recently found a endocrinologist that knows a lot about PCOS. I feel like I am taking charge of my life. I am know on meds (glumetza 1500mg daily) and taking control of my spiritual, mental, and physiacl health. I am happy to know other women are equally taking charge and not letting PCOS take charge in their lives.
