Hi Everyone!
I was just diagnosed with PCOS on Monday after 3 long years of thinking I was absolutely nuts.

I have been to 6 different doctors and each one told me that nothing was wrong with me. I finally found an endo that listened to me and diagnosed me with PCOS. She also gave me a script for Metformin while I wait for all my test results.
Here's where the confusion part comes in...Over the past 3 years, I have gained more than 50 pounds. I was eating anywhere between 1000-1500 calories a day, working out 2hrs/day, 5 days/week (sometimes 6) and continually gaining weight. All the doctors that I went to took a ton of tests and told me I wasn't diabetic, insulin resistant, etc. I haven't started the metformin yet, but since I'm not insulin resistant, I'm wondering if it's the right treatment for me?

If it's not, then how do I stop the weight gain and start losing weight? I'm totally and completely at my wit's end. I've gone from being a very healthy and out going person to being a very overweight and introverted person. The worst part of all is that there is no end in sight to the weight gain and I have absolutely no clue how to stop it!

If I'm just going to keep gaining weight no matter what I do, someone just needs to shoot me now.
