Default Newbie: TTC & forgot I used to suffer from PCOS

Hi. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 27. I had a long period, went to see Dr, sent me for a scan and I had a huge cyst, he put me on Diannete, cyst reduced in size and smaller cysts were visible then. A few years later I got married and stopped taking BCP to TTC. My cycles were long, and on the 5th month I decided to start taking don quai & EPO, on the 6th month I was PG!!!! After baby I went back on the pill. 2 year later we wanted to try for No 2. Then again, stopped pill, long cycles, started don quai and EPO I think on the 2nd month, and I was PG on the 5th month. Baby was born and I got the Implanon fitted. I had 2 implanons in 5 years.

This year we decided to try for No 3, got Implanon removed on Jan 8th, no period yet, but as soon as implanon was removed I started to feel twinges here and there, wasnt sure what it was....about a week ago I had strong ovulation pain on my right side, but it wouldnt stop, it was a constant pain. Then I started to feel I was swollen inside, clothes tight on the waist ! I have been craving sugar like mad !!!! (not good for my WW diet !!) I have taken about 10 HPT's over then last 3 weeks and all are negative. OPK's too and I havent got a single line till this last Monday, I got a faint second line, which I know doesnt mean LH is at its peak, but I know it is there now, it wasnt before.

Went to Dr yesterday, I was convinced I was probably suffering from bowel problems, but NO, Dr said I had a cyst. She gave me augmentin duo and buscopan (????) I asked her if these would help, she said no, it's just in case it was something else (I didnt see my regular Dr I must add !!!) I was very sceptical, I came home and googled (as you do) and I am sure that I endeed have a cyst :o( all symptoms are what I have been suffering over the last few days. I decided not to take the antibiotic, there is no point, is it?

To make things worst, I woke up this morning feeling I have trush, and I do have it. I have just taken an acydophylus tablet.

To be honest, I had completely forgotten I used to suffer from PCOS...I dunno what to do now...put up with the consequences, go back to use contraception and forget about baby No 3 (heartbroken !!)

My first thought right now, is that Im gonna go and buy Don quai and EPO and start taking it asap.

Sorry for the long post, but I had to give some background info.

One last question....when I had a big cyst many years ago, I was told not to lift heavy stuff or to excersise, etc...to prevent bursting of the cyst. I wasnt told that yesterday. If it bursts, will the pain be that bad and will I have to go to hospital? What should I aim for? bursting or reducing itself?

Thanks for reading x

Hi Eva. Yeah, I expected buscopan to be for gastric related pains, I dont have a clue why the Dr prescribed it. She might have tought that there was a possibility I may have a bowel problem, but I honestly think I dont have any at the mo. I would say I suffer IBS just before and at the time of my period, or some foods might trigger it, but I have been fine in that are lately.
Are you TTC?

You do not want to feel it brust.. TRUST ME... it's the worst pain ever!!! mine ruptured the end of last week.. then became haemorrhagic and bled within itself... Was in hospital for 3 nights... so you really really don't want it to burst.. you want it to shrink!!.. I've got to go back in 6 weeks to see if it has shrunk!

Save yourself the time and pain!

Hi Angel,

Sorry to read yours bursted. I had my scan yesterday, and I have one in my left ovary, not that big, only 2.5 cm. I know I had one big on my right side, but it's not there anymore. BUT, between yesterday and today, Im sure another one is growing again on the right. Dont know if my GP will make me wait a few more weeks or will she prescribe something. But I feel more relaxed now, at least I know exactly how I look "inside" and what to expect, and why is happening.

Did yours bursted because you were very active (jogging, lifting heavy stuff, etc) or it just happened?
