Hi, Just introducing myself, I was diagnosed with PCOS in May last year, and my husband and I have been trying for a baby for 2 years. Hope I can find some information for reliable sources for clomid on the internet (cant see links yet!) as my doctor refuses to treat me untill I have lost all the excess weight.
Hi Kat, my BMI is 44 and the doctor wants it under 24. I can't see any proper links. It just tells me not until you have posted 10 times or more. ((Just tried the research article bit and those links do work)) Think the post thing might put off some newbies or just force people to post for the sake of posting so they can see what they are missing.
hi thanks for replying, didnt realise anyone had...my notifications were going to my spam folder!
My gp is brilliant.. SHe diagnose me (after ages with other crap doctors) but she feel sthats shes not the best qualified to help me with prescriptions and conception issues regarding PCOS (When was the last time a doctor admitted they didnt know something!?) Problem is the woman dealing with me now.. is kind of one of the only people I can be referred to in the area... SO I am at a bit of a loss now.
You can ask your dr about Exercise on Prescription. basically they refer you to your gym and depending on your gyms cycle of sorting out the referrals (mine is at the end of the month), you should get in pretty quickly for your induction then you can use the gym free a few times a week, and you can even ask them to set up a programme for you to work on (e.g. 10 minute warm up on the bike, 20 minute on the treadmill etc) to best work the areas you want to have worked.
my mum got this last year and after being diagnosed with PCOS i asked my dr about it and i have my induction next week :-)
