Post Newbie, as yet not completely diagnosed, but confused!

Hi I am Ka
I am 25 from the UK, I recently went to see my doctor regarding pre conception advice, and mentioned some pelvic pain to her that I had been having, she noted that I had excessive facial hair (which I hadn't realised was abnormal) and also noted that I am overweight, I have also been having irregular periods where they used to be reguar as clockwork.
She ordered an ultrasound scan, and blood tests. And told me that she thinks I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. I found this board when I was looking that up online!
However my blood tests have just come back as normal, the LH and FSH levels were nomal as was the oestrodial (though I am not sure what that bit is!). I have not had a chance to ask my doctor about thins yet, and I am wondering whether this means I do not have PCOS, because of the blood results being ok. Or could there still be a possible chance of me having it?
I'm very confused about this, and have been more than a little worried the whole time since I found out. I hope someone may have an idea to help me?
Thanks love Ka xx

welcome to sc i know, pcos is so confusing - that's why this site is so amazing. From what i understand, each girls pcos is diferent. Saying that, my blood tests come back as near normal- and i am definately a pcos girl what id suggest,is writing down all the things you want to ask/say to chat to your dr about it. The newbie section has some great info in there too .pm me if you want

Hey Ka Welcome !!!

My blood tests came back normal too, so your not alone there like eva said each girl is different, for instance I don’t have the hair loss or excess hair, I don’t suffer from acne but I am overweight and have very irregular periods, and definitely a PCOS girl. Any questions you may have or worries just post them on this site and some is always there to help.
