I really wanted to start a newer Catholic thread. One that wasn't bogged down with hateful statements. I would like to remain focused on the subject at hand, ie, how faith helps you through this very difficult time in your lives. I believe that as Catholics we are called to a life of holiness. Yes standing up for what Christ came to proclaim is one way we achieve this goal, however, the manner in which we do it is extremely important. For once we neglect this, it is no longer about Christ, but more about us. Once we harden our hearts, how can we grow in holiness. I'm saddened by some of the language on the previous thread and cannot in good conscience be a part it. This thread is for Catholics who genuinely understand the Gospel and our call to live it fully, not just in word but in deed. The peace of Christ be with you always.
Tigir,
I can honestly say I don't know what happened to the last thread. I'm guessing the moderator deleted it?
I'm sorry your friend has been banned. I don't know anything about that. I do know, however, that Jesus calls us to love our neighbor, and some of the comments made regarding particular politicians did not appear to be written with this in mind.
I agree that this forum is a wonderful place to share things. I was overjoyed to find this message board. But, to be 100% honest, I get the feeling that because I don't agree with everything that is discussed, that I am being judged and not supported. Yes, I underwent IUI. No, I don't feel guilty about it. Yes, I am Democrat. No, I don't feel guilty about that either. I don't ask anyone to agree with me on either of these topics. I ask for prayers and support as my husband & I travel this long road ahead of us. I can assure anyone reading this that they have my prayers and support regardless of what treatment they undergo or to which political party they belong.
Tigir, I hope you find all of your friends, and I'm sorry they have been scattered to the ends of cyberspace! Good luck & God bless!
You are very right! Everything we say and do should be done with charity, and that does mean controling ourselves. I am sorry things went the way they did with the other thread, it is unfortunate.
Well, I will bid you ladies farewell, I am off to search cyberspace.
God bless.
