Default ~*The "Newfie" Cysterhood*~/~*April 2007*~

Hi there,

We are a group of cysters from Newfoundland who have found a bond with each other through being gals with PCOS and being from"The Rock".

A few of us have been around for ages and some of us have just started to get to know one another.

We are open and accepting of all fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living in the Province or those who have, like so many others, found themselves in some other part of the country for employment and other opportunities.

So.....to our regular girls......Welcome to our new thread for April of 2007.....and .....if you are a Newfie, are related to a Newfie or even just know a "good ole" Newfie.....pull up a seat and let's get to know each other!

Jen that is great news about you going back to Cold Lake. Girls is this really april out side right now it snowing i want spring or summer now. I am doing really good here my copy of the insulin resistance diet book came today so i can't wait to start reading it. Not sure how many of you here knew i was doing a school age course for my work. The head boss wanted me to do it so i have level 2 in both preschool and afterschool age. Yesterday i got back my assignments and i am pleased to say i did good on them. So now i got my level 2 in both preschool and schoolage care. Hope you all are doing good.

Congrats Lisa....that's wonderful!

Jennifer~ Glad you get to do what you enjoy for the summer...Congrats to you as well!

Miss Pretty~Are you doing OK?....I don't hear much from you these days!.....Yay!....You've hit the 20 week mark....halfway to holding your little treasure!!

I have been very much under the weather these past few days!....My girls and I started out with a headcold which for me turned into a sinus infection....then I ended up with a 24 hour stomach virus on Sunday and to top it all off I ended up getting the visitor from you know where on Sunday as well!......Not a good few days for me!!
Oh well...today has been much better for me and my little monkeys so things are lookin' up!

Lisa...BTW....I'm with ya on the weather!!!....We are getting snow and freezing rain mixed at the moment!.... WHAT IS UP WITH THIS!!!

Well girlies.....Gotta go shower and relax!
TTYL!

Erdine -- hope you're feeling better...that sounds like an awful few days you've had, I hope the worst is over!

Lisa -- good for you! How long is the course you are doing?

Jen -- congrats on the contract in Cold Lake! I hope you have a great summer!

Lesley -- I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. You must be extremely excited about your u/s next week. I can't wait to hear how you make out!

Well girls, I finally joined a gym and I feel great. I only started about 2 weeks ago and although I don't notice a difference on my scale I can already feel a difference in how my clothes fit me. I joined with a friend and we both signed up with personal trainers. I find that so great! I need a lot of motivation to stick with something and I find the combination of working out with my friend and meeting with my trainer 2 times a week is really helping.

I hope you are all having a great week so far. Happy hump day!

Lisa congrats on the course!

Jen, that's great on Cold Lake! How long will U b there?

Glad that it's a long weekend.. I was suppose to off on monday, but the boss was looking for voluters to assit in project. I didn't mind, since I can use that holiday some other time.
As well DH is working, so that's fine.

As for my clinic visits.. I'm taking Purgeon (along with the other smaller meds), and on Wed.. 2 folli were there (1.2 and 1.4) on the left side. I'm hoping that there large enough and that they will relaese. I guess it's good since that's the side I had the surgey on.

It's funny that after my u/s I usually viist w/ the Nurse or my reg Dr... but there was another Dr there to review the chart. He was giving me "HIS" personal opionion 2 much. He was saying well it didn't matter I JUST had the surgey (last wk) to get the tube unblocked... as long as 1 tube is working that's all that matters. TRUE.........

BUT, I think and my regular Dr belives that IF 2 tubes R open - even better. U know double the chances right? Or am I just totally out to lunch?

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

Janet

Hey Janet,
I hope that this all works out for you.

As for Cold Lake, I will be there for 9 weeks. I can't wait. I love it there.

Janet -- thanks for the hersheykiss! I LOVE chocolate! I would also think that both tubes being unblocked would give you increased odds of getting pg. I wouldn't dwell too much on the words of that doctor who kept giving his opinion...some of them just like to hear their own voices and never listen to what we are saying. I'm hoping that your follies get large and release. How will you know that happens, does your MD follow their progress through u/s. I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Well, I hope everyone has a Happy Easter! DH and I are having 2 Easter dinners on Sunday -- 1 at his cousin's for lunch and then at my Mom's for supper...we are going to be totally stuffed! But I love cooked dinner (when I don't have to cook it myself! ) But first, DH and I have a romantic evening planned for Saturday -- we have a room booked at a hotel with a jacuzzi and view of the ocean and dinner reservations at the restaurant there. I can't wait! It's the first time we've done anything like that since last fall when we went to Halifax for a long weekend. What kinds of plans do you all have this weekend?

Your welcome.. I'm like U I LOVE choclate.. somedays I think I'm addicted to the stuff.
Ya I go every couple of days to the clinic.. my next visit is tomorrow AM @ 7:10am! It's gross that I have to get up on a Saturday morning around 5:30, but I'd rather be the 1st appt in the morning and then get in and out.

We're meeting up w/ a Newfie buddies to have fish & chips (f&c) in a couple of hrs. The last time we had f&c was hmmmm problay when we were back home @ ches's or Big R's. HMMM. I'm ntot one for take-out., but a good plate of F&C is good once in a while.

Have fun @ the hotel... don't do anything I wouldn't do....
