We are a group of cysters from Newfoundland who have found a bond with each other through being gals with PCOS and being from"The Rock".
A few of us have been around for ages and some of us have just started to get to know one another.
We are open and accepting of all fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living in the Province or those who have, like so many others, found themselves in some other part of the country for employment and other opportunities.
So.....to our regular girls......Welcome to our new thread for the Spring of 2007.....and .....if you are a Newfie, are related to a Newfie or even just know a "good ole" Newfie.....pull up a seat and let's get to know each other!

I guess in some ways it good, however, whats the purpose of a message board if they don't want you to leave messages? You can't help that they get longer...
I am here for the long haul!

All is well here. Babies are sleeping really well, Anna sleeps all nite and Isaac gets up onec at 530ish and back to sleep. My parents and I and babes are going home (their home) in three weeks. I'll still have access to the boards. I am taking the kiddos to the mall to get out of the house today.

I hope the worse of af won't last to long. As for me i was ok till about 3:45 then the bad pain came. Once i got home half hour later my upper belly was so swollen. Will i ever be glad once i get my ultrasound results back next week. So i can get this gallbladder out of me. Hopefully i won't have to wait to long to see a surgeon.

Good Idea to start a new thread!
I'm in the long (maybe the super long haul).
So how is everyone doing?
Lisa, hang in there! Think of good thoughts! Would a heating pad on either your belly or back help?
Work was a little crazy this afternoon, but other then that Monday went o.k. @ work. Hoping tomorrow doesn't be as cold as the weather folks predict... -11 C w/a wind chill to -21C. Don't know if it's me geeting old or what, but when it's very cold outside.. I always find it it SUPER cold.
I hope all is well.. taking it easy and I'll checkin in Tuesday or Wednesday!

Hi girls,
How is everyone's week going...mine's not too bad although work has me stressed...I can't wait for the weekend!
Janet -- thanks for the encouragement...I'm glad to know that other women feel the same way!
DH and I had a long talk on Sunday about TTC and we talked a lot of things over and I think we're both hearing what the other is saying now. Work will be crazy for the next couple of months so I'll stick with the Clomid, then after the 3 cycles have passed if I'm still not pg we'll go right to IUI. DH is very nervous about another pg as he's afraid we will m/c again and I can definitely understand his fear. Hopefully, we'll get pg and have a safe and healthy 9 months...
Jennifer -- working on the ice roads is a hard job! My DH uncle has worked on the ice roads in NWT and although I would love to see the area and maybe drive on the ice road once or twice, I don't think I could do it all the time! Does your partner enjoy it? Have you ever been on the ice roads yourself?
Lisa -- I'm sorry that you are still so uncomfortable and in pain...I wish there was something we could do to take the pain away...when do you see your MD? Do you think that you will have surgery to have your gallbladder removed?
Lesley -- I'm so glad you were able to hear your baby's heartbeat! It must have been amazing!
Talk to you all later! Hope you are all having a great week!

My gp is off this week just my luck right. So i am thinking of calling him monday or tuesday to see if he got my results back yet. So i figure i be seeing him next week. I be so glad to know what is wrong with me. Most likley i be getting my gallbladder remove if that what the test results show. My family dr did tell me to prepare myself for surgery.
Jennifer that is great news on the weight loss. Keep up the great work. I know you can do it. I been there.
