I am so glad that you ladies are here when I need to vent or talk. I hope we all are successful in dealing with any issues we may have.
Loves ya lots!!!! Talk soon!!

My Mood: Points: 1,882.83 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,882.83 | Thanks so much! Well I picked it up today. I had a refill left from last September, that I didn't know was left. When I got it, instead of 50mgs, I was to do 100mgs. I guess because it was to be used as the second cycle. Well I decided that I am going to just take the 100 mgs now, that way it give me a better chance at the beginning, and the pharmisist (sp) advised that it was ok.
I should know some results in about a month.....I promise to keep you all posted, as long as you can all pray that it works.....
I am so grateful to have this board, and people who know what I am going through, and to be from where I am makes it that much more special.

Have you heard anything further on an interview for a story? You said that you have been contacting the government...what kind of response are you getting?
Jeni -- I've got my fingers (and toes!! ) crossed for you this month. Good luck!!
I"m on holidays this week -- a bit late but I can't complain. I've been busy cleaning my house over the weekend and my FIL is here today trying to sand my back deck so that I can put a new stain on it. I also have to paint the kitchen and front porch...not much of a holiday, hey?!?!
Hope you are all doing well. TTYL.

My Mood: Points: 1,050.73 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,050.73 | Hi Ladies,
Just checking in. How is everyone?
Jennifer - Take your provera for the five days and your AF should start about 3-5 days after stopping then start Clomid on day 3 of your cycle.
Honeychild - I have been getting some responses from government, telling me not to do IVF until after the budget comes down. I'm still thinking that I will have to pay for it but you never know. I haven't gotten any requests for interviews as of yet. I hope I do. It really needs to be brought to the forefront. It is a major issue for many couples in Newfoundland and Labrador, let alone all across Canada.

My Mood: Points: 18,333.81 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 18,333.81 | I'm still around.... Hi Ladies.. i hope you guys have forgotten about me
I've been under the radar for the last few mths. Kept getting negative news from the Clinic and kinda got a little down and out. Usually when that occurs, I withdraw totally and keep to myself.
In mid August, the clinic once agian informed me that my lining and the folli's were not growing and that we should stop TTC for that mth and take Provea and come back next mth. I got so discouraged and upset.. DH got very worried. Since we had 2 wks coming up (in September) for holidays. DH took it up on himself and booked a 2 wk trip to Calgary & Vancouver where we have family members. As result, I decided I had enough of the clinic, decided against taking Provea once we return from the trip, I would start TTC again.
Well.... anyway while we were in Calgary, I was having a lot of peroid cramps - but no peroid. At 1st I thought it was Jet leg( I always get it when I fly). So I went and got a pee pg test. Guess what it came back POSTIVE!!!!
I phoned my clinic right away and informed of the test. The nurse said as soon as we get back in town to go to the clinic and get a blood test.
So this am I did the blood test and YES, DH and I are Pregnent!!!! The dr think I'm 5 wks and 6 days. I still have the cramping.. now the cramping feels like I need to go to the washroom (not pee...) sorry TMI. Getting tired and my sleepping patterns seem to be changing (but that could be 'cause of the trip).
So what do i do now? The dr said we should be able to hear a heart beat in the 7 or 8 wk? You ladies are the only folks we have told. So shhh I don't wanna chix it.
~Janet~

I was wondering were you were? That is fantastic new. You and your hubby must be soooooo excited. Good for the two of you.
So let me get this right.... you conceived on your own without any meds?
Amazing what a vacation can do!
My advice to you is to just go on with you everyday lives but take it easy. If you feel tired, relax. In other words listen to your body. Eat right and excerise lightly (ie- walking) My dr. told me when I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter not to take asprin. It apparently thins the blood? I'm not at dr. but i listened.
I'm very happy for you.
There is good news happening to ladies and this site, so you can never give up hope!

My Mood: Points: 18,333.81 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 18,333.81 | We're still in stock! You should have seen DH .. when we went to the Clinic yesterday and the staff told us that we're Pregnent, I thought he was going to faint!
The staff knew that we were in shock, 'cause both of us just stood there looking like dumbies and was speechless (1st time for everything I know ).
Anyway, I have "peroid cramping" whcih the staff said was normal, does anyone know how long the cramps last for (.. 1 mth.. 2 mths or right to the end)? Sometimes th cramps move to my back.. wonderful. But how I loook @ it - labour pains I hear is worst.
Ya, I never dreamed we would get pg on our own. Basically I was taking vitamins and a small does of a med for under active thyroid. I was taking Anvitia (sp?) but stopped that as soon as I thought I might have been pg.
I was wondering when should I tell my boss? I have a 7wk u/s booked in 2 wks and it's during work hrs. I guess I have to tell him before then.?
It's funny, DH has jumped right into action... not letting me lift anything heavy (i.e the laudry basket, our suitcases..etc). Rubbing my back when i feel nausa. I knew he was sweet guy.. but he's surprising me!
BYW, Jennifer I have taken Provea numerous times. For me I take the 5 day does and I usually get a peroid 3-5 days after that. I perosonally find when I take Provea my peroids are longer BUT not as heavy flow. Once your peroid arrives, I used to take the fertility med in Day 3. I only took Clomid once, but had really bad reaction.. so I gave up that med.
Thanks ladies for all the support!
~Janet~

My Mood: Points: 1,050.73 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,050.73 | Congratulations Janet. I am so happy for you. I just started AF this morning (what a story this is) after being told last week that I had a cyst on my Left ovary (they couldn't find the right one with the ultrasound, it seems to have disappeared). I am hoping that the cyst is now gone seeing I have started AF. It was the first time I had a cyst. I was dx with PCOS but I was not the typical cyster. I had all the other symptoms but didn't have the cysts.

My Mood: Points: 1,882.83 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,882.83 | Congrats Janet!!! I am SO happy for you.
DH and I have decided to wait to Christmas to take Clomid. I took 1 prevara (SP) and then 3 days later I got my period.....strange I know....anyway, I have 9 more of them, and 100mgs of Clomid to take for 5 days. I am totally keeping my fingers crossed that it works.
Anyway, Steve and I will be married 1 year next Sunday, and I got 2 anniversary gifts already....concert tickets to see Billy Joel in Edmonton, and he is flying my mom up to visit and go to the concert with me....
