Default *Newfoundland & Labrador Cysters~Fall 2008*

Hi there,

We are a group of cysters from Newfoundland who have found a bond with each other through being gals with PCOS and being from"The Rock".

A few of us have been around for ages and some of us have just started to get to know one another.

We are open and accepting of all fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living in the Province or those who have, like so many others, found themselves in some other part of the country for employment and other opportunities.

So.....to our regular girls......Welcome to our new thread for the Fall of 2008.....and .....if you are a Newfie, are related to a Newfie or even just know a "good ole" Newfie.....pull up a seat and let's get to know each other!

Wink Sorry been MIA....

Hi Newfies!!!.. It's been a while..I do think of you guys often.. but latley I can't seem to have a chance to get on the computer.

Last wk, Benjamin (whose going to be 4 mth old on Sept 26) got a virus... has been really sick since last Wednesday (today is Monday)..although everyday he seems to be slowly getting better.. just wish it would go away completly!
He was sneezing out ugly green mucas (sp?), coughing and pooing like NO tomorrow ( not a pretty site ) . Basically just not himself.

I was very worried, since I guess this is the 1st time he was sick and I didn't know what it was. Belive it or not, our Dr appt was for noon and I ended up eating my lunch @ 10:30am.. thinking I may have to take him to the x-ray dept... lucky for Benajmin & me it was only a virus and not something more seroius.

Today Benjamin made me very nervous, since he spit up his milk (I breast feed) twice.. which he nevers does and he just wasn't himself... maybe the bug (i.e virus) just doesn't want to leave.

He goes in 2 days time to get his needles. I know I'm going to cry along w/ him.

These days I don't sleep in much.. I'm not one to sleep in but I somedays I would like to sleep in past 4:30am/5:00am... that's usually when my day starts and usually I crash by 9pm.

Wish there was more time in the day...

So how is everyone? I hope all is well with everyone!
Janet

I CANNOT believe it's fall already. Where has this year gone?

It looks like next month will be my first round of clomid. Unmonitored, so I'm a little nervous. Fingers crossed! We start in about two weeks.

And I'm marking my spot.

Hello There!

It's been many months (perhaps a year) since I last posted in your NL thread! I wasnt; even sure that it was still on the go! Glad to see it and be able to touch base with you all again!

I'm not a newf but a gool ol' Labradorian! (Mom and Dad are both newfs but have lived here in the Big Land for over 40 years and raised their family here)!

When I last posted, I don't even think DH and I were TTC (only thinking about it and talking about it!)
Well, good news.....I'm PG - 19 weeks along! U/s next week to see of we're having a little boy or girl! (Summary of the TTC journey in my signature below).

Labrador is getting cold now...we had frost a few nights now and of course, the trees are all turning the beautiful fall colors!

I will certainly check in more regularly as since the BFP, I seem to visit the soul cysters site at least once a day!

HAPPY FALL TO YOU ALL!!!!

Just started Clomid today. I'm dreading all the wonderful side effects I keep reading about. Sore boobs, hot flashes, crazy mood swings...I'm sure when the time comes for BDing, I'll be the most attractive thing on the planet. Sheesh!

Hey Everyone, it's been a while since I posted. Life has been very busy. I just found out that a very close relative is pregnant again. I know I should be thankful that I have a healthy beautiful little boy, But I am so jealous, I guess because i had the 2 miscarriages after having a healthy pregnancy. I know I shoudln't be feeling this way..I should be very happy for them, but I am so upset. Am I being too selfish?? I am hoping to start trying again, in the next couple of months, but I am so afraid I will end up with another m/c. She is the type of person, that when I am in her company that that seems to be all she talks about is her pregnancy, she can be very insensitive sometimes. I almost feel like she rubs it in that she is pregnant again. Please tell me I am not nuts in feeling this way.

Default Hi

Hi girls,

It's been quite a while since I posted last, but I have been checking the site when I can. Life has been hectic to say the least. The main change in my life has been a cross-Canada move from NL to the NWT. DH started a job here in June and I moved up in September. Boy, do I ever miss home.

I have just started following the Weight Watchers plan again (I still have my old guidelines) and am hoping to get some of this weight off so that we can start TTC again. Unfortunately due to the move we need to pretty much start from scratch with new doctors. But at least it gives me time to get a bit healthier (and lighter! LOL).

How have things been with everyone?

jennc -- I understand how you feel and you are not being selfish. I have felt the same way. Often it's hard to say if it's deliberate or of they are just being insensitive.
I am also afraid of trying again and having another m/c. Some days I think "Yes, let's get moving I want to make a baby!", and other times I just want to hide my head in the sand and forget all about it. ((BIG HUGS)) to you and I hope you feel better soon.

Lisa

Hi Ladies,

Clomid didn't work for me so now I'm back on BCP as of next tuesday, I think. I'm pretty bitter about it for all the usual reasons.

Glad to see people posting here though!

Hi Ladies.. it's been awhile since I posted.
Now I know when folks say time flies by when your having fun!

I love being a Mom and we want as many children as we can have. It's tough finincally, with me not having my full income coming in, so we have tighten the $$$ and have to really stick to budget, BUT it's soooooooooo worth it!
You do find ways to save $$$.

It's been real crazy here.
Benjamin always wants to sleep w/ me for afternoon naps and I'm attempting to break me from that habit and get him into his crib for afternoon naps.
We've been outside a lot since it's been amazing weather!
He's only 5 mths old and has 2 bottom teeth and has turned over on his belly.

We started rice ceral, he doens't like it much, so I guess it takes time.

Janet
