| Newfoundland Cyster Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Canada ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, We are a group of cysters from Newfoundland who have found a bond with each other through being gals with PCOS and being from"The Rock". A few of us have been around for ages and some of us have just started to get to know one another. We are open and accepting of all fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living in the Province or those who have, like so many others, found themselves in some other part of the country for employment and other opportunities. So.....to our regular girls......Welcome to our new thread for the Spring of 2008.....and .....if you are a Newfie, are related to a Newfie or even just know a "good ole" Newfie.....pull up a seat and let's get to know each other!

Wish I could enjoy chocolate.. b4 baby I used to adore a "good feed" of chocolate.. but since baby, chocolate makes me nausa Along w/ sweets. What a bummer! Bbay loves apples, oranges, grapes - pretty much everything healthy! We 32 wks! Let the countdown begin... Everyone says I'm all belly and have not gained much weight anywhere else. Hopefully that's good. Our friends are throwing us a baby shower this weekend @ my house.. looking forward to seeing everyone. Next weekend, DH and I are getting our "proffesional" maturity (sp?) pics done.. looking forward to that! Later.. J

| Registered User Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: newfoundland ![]() | Hi I am from the central nl area. I am 35 yrs old, I have a liite boy Christopher who will turn 2 on June 30. I was diagnosed with pcos oin 1996, the Dr, I saw at that time said "you have something called pcos, don't worry it's nothing to worry about" Yeah right!! Anyway, I ended up with really high BP, adn was told by another OB/GyN to adopt because I would never have a child on my own. So I had tried clomid a couple of times but it didn't work. I saw my gp and asked her could I get one more opinion from a OB/GYn, so i went to see another one, who put me on metformin in Sept 2005, I was pregnant in Oct 2005, and had a healthy pregnancy and a beautiful baby boy, who I am so thankful for. So we tried for #2 and I got pregnant in July 07, but lost it in August, I then got pregnant again in OCt 07, I thought I was doin really well, because i was so sick every morning, I was supposedly 11 weeks, but I was only 6.5 weeks, so I ended up having a D&C, 2 weeks before christmas. Anyway, this last mc really brought me down. My Dr has prescribed Progesterone supp. for me for the next time , he says I had one healthy pregnancy he doesn't see why I can't have another, but I don't know if I could handle another mc. So..that's my story. |

I was 36 when I gave birth to my 1st so time is still on your side. I never had a miscarriage so I won't pretend to know how that feels but don't give up if you really want another child...you may never miscarry again. Miracle's still happen...I have 2 of them!

| Registered User Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: newfoundland ![]() | Thanks for the encouragement. I feel like I am running out of time ,which I know is silly, but I guess I just want another child so badly. When I had Christopher, I had a c section, and the incision is still giving me problems, in fact the last mc I had, the incision was starting to open up again, so maybe that had something to do with the mc who knows? I also have a blood clooting problem-my blood clots to fast, so that may have played a part this time too. I am going to start taking a small dosage of aspirin when I start to try again. I am amazed at how many people have this condition, sometimes i feel like I am the only one in the world with this condition. |
