Hi Girlies...hope you all are doing well. Are you all as sick of snow as I am?!?!

JennC -- Welcome! I am so sorry to hear about the babies you lost. ((HUGS)) I am currently taking a break in TTC as AF is not co-operating. LOL DH and I lost our first (and only) baby in August 2006. Our baby should have been almost 15 weeks gestation, but the heartbeat had stopped at about 12 weeks....I also had a D&C and have to say that losing my baby and having the D&C was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. If you ever need to chat I'm here.

Hi
No one knows how hard the loss is until you have been there. I have had freinds say to me , "well you were only early, it could be worse" yeah I know it could be worse , but it doesn't ease the pain. If I didn't have the first mc , I would have been due on April 14, so that's been playing on my mind for the past few days. We are also taking a break, I have had to go on antidepressants, since the last mc, so it's been recommended to take a break. I am so sorry to hear of your lost. Hopefully in the near future things will work out for you. I also take 15oomg of met, but I take a supplement known as chelated chromiun that ia supposed to help with blood glucose, and I also take an omega 3 supplement, I think taking the omega 3 supplement while I was pregnant with Christopher is what helped me get through my pregnancy. Something to think about maybe?

That may be a good idea...I was taking Met during the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy and then stopped it under the advice of my MD. I always wonder if stopping it had something to do with the miscarriage? I am thinking about taking though out the entire pregnancy if I get pg again. I will try anything to have a safe and healthy pregnancy. We are not sure why I m/c...we had testing done following the D & C but it came back inconclusive, so we don't know if it was a genetic issue or not.

I agree with you that those who have not lost a child through m/c do not understand how it feels. I had a really hard time dealing with it and saw a therapist for a while to deal with the grieving process. She said at one point that losing a child before birth is the worst type of loss, b/c you grieve for what was and what could have been, all your hopes and dreams for that little life are gone and you also grieve b/c you will never know what they would have looked like, who they would have been, what their personalities would have been like, etc.

I hope you stay strong and take time to grieve. I'll be thinking about you on the 14th. ((HUGS))

Hi Ladies! I havane't been around lately... baby makes me sooo tired and by the time I finish supper and tidy up, my back and everything else starts to act up As a result, I spend the rest of the evening either on the couch or in bed w/ a heating pad to my back.

2 wks ago we though I was in labour. It was the friday afternoon at work and I started to get alot of pressure and then i started to leak. I called my Dr and she said to get to the hostipal right away. One of my co-workers basiclly just throw me in the car w/ my jacket and "booted" it to the hostipal. Once we got there and pre'd for labour.. the Dr examined me and came to the conclusion that baby was head down and that's the pressure I was feeling.
I was discharged after 2 hrs and was told to go home and rest for the weekend.

I'm still going to work (although I'm 35 wks), but I have to take it easy. Dr wants to see if I can work up to 37 or 38 wks.

Honestly I hope I go earlier then my due date of May 17... baby is already
7 1/2 pounds to 8 pounds... and I have another 5 wks to go.... I phone Dh after my OBGYN appt and told him that baby was 7 1/2 to 8 pounds big and you know what he said? Does that mean we're going to have a 15 or 20 pounder? I'm soo glad he was on the phone when he said that.. or I would have gave him a little slap on the head.

Shower was great... both Dh and I enjoyed seeing everyone. Had a great time! Baby received some beutiful gifts. The girls at work are giving me a work shower this week.

BYW, JennC - welcome!

How's everyone doing? I will try to keep in touch more.

Janet

Hey Guys,
Well, tomorrow was supposed to have been my due date if I hadn't had my first m/c. I know I should be thankful that I have Christopher, but I still can't help feeling like crap. People just don't understand , I am so tired of hearing "everything happens for a reason" . It took us eleven years to have Christopher, and I loved being pregnant, it was the best time I had felt in years, it's just not fair. Anyway, I just had to vent!!
