Newly Diagnosed I have found this website and am so glad that I have. I went to doctor yesterday, becuase I had been experiencing tireness for about 4 years now, and has started to effect my job. Well, my doctor blurted this out PCOS and I about fell to the ground in tears in denial but in a way joyful, cause I have been battling fertility problem, period problems weight problems, ovary cysts and a enlarged ovary forever, and no doctor including my gyn has been able to tell me what as wrong. Now I finally know what is going on... I had some blood tests done yesterday now just waiting for the results to confirm the diagnosis. I am so scared about this whole thing, I just dont know what to think??? Just wanted to let everyone know, that I am so grateful that I have found this website.. Wish me luck,,

This site (and the cysters) have truly been a God-send for me - My suggestion is to READ - READ - READ ... a good place to start are with the 'stickies' here on the newbie board, they're full of useful info and maybe even some things you'd like to talk to your doc about.
Hi! I'm a newbie here too. I have only been on here for a little while and I already know so much about PCOS thanks to everyone here. My Doctor diagnosed me last month and I didn't even know what PCOS was. She didn't tell me anything either. I have an appointment with her next month, so I will be a lot more educated about this and will be piling on the questions. She didn't seem to take much time talking and asking me questions. This site has been a lot of help and I sure appreciate every one of you!!!!!

Welcome! I'm a newbie also and love this site! It's so supportive and just enjoyable to be on. I was just recently diagnosed also (December, 04), and believe I have had it all my life! I've already lost at least 20 pounds, and it's such a relief to know that my symptoms are not excuses, and I am learning what I can do about it! Just hang in there, and once you and your doctor can talk about the blood results, you can figure out a plan of action. Hope to see you around!
