HI everyone!!! I was just diagnosed with PCOS last week, although at 32 years of age I am amazed and a little ticked off that I was not diagnosed younger!!!! Now that I have been doing research I have found that all the symptoms I've had all these years now make sense. Just as seems to be pretty typical, I was not diagnosed until my husband and I decided to try and get pregnant. But, now I have an even better reason to lose weight!!! I was wondering, does anyone know of any support groups in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area? I would be really interested in meeting with some other PCOS sisters and learning more. Thanks!!!
Just wanted to say welcome and good luck! I'm not much help to you, being in Australia, but there should be some kind of support group in your area.

Hi. I think you have found exactly what you are looking for here! You may want to start a new thread or check through older posts for other cysters in your area. From time to time cysters will post get togethers, and maybe one of them is near you! Again, welcome!

Thank you for all the welcomes!! I am so glad I found this site and look forward to learning more about PCOS and how to deal with it. My first step is losing weight and am taking metformin. Thank you again and it's great to talk to all of you!!!
Candiloohoo - I know how you feel. I am 33 yrs old and just found out in April that I had PCOS. Of course the only reason I found out was because we had been ttc for one year with no luck! I wish I had found out when I was a bit younger. I would have ttc earlier. I feel like I am racing against time.
Welcome to SC! There's a bunch of great Ladies here!
