I just found out I have PCOS, but I have regular periods. I had been on BCP for several years. I also have Uterine Fibroids and am on treatment to shrink them since My fiance and I want to start having children soon after getting married. I wondered how common it was to have PCOS and Fibroids together and if anyone has ideas on how to increase the chances on getting pregnant soon...if possible. I'm newly diagnosed and really afraid that I'm not going to be able to give my soon-to-be husband children. Am I afraid for nothing, or is this a legitimate fear? He is fabulous and is staying positive, but I fall into tears frequently about it. Part of that may be due to the drug that is thrusting me into a temporary, but very rough, menopause. Help please!

Hey! Welcome to SC! I am not sure about the PCOS and fibroids relationship, but I do know that many women with PCOS are able to have children. It is by no means an easy road to travel, but it is possible. You should let your doctor know that you want to have children and tell them that is a priority to you. If your doc is good, he/she will be able to offer you suggestions or at least an outlook for getting pregnant. There are still many options available to you so don't give up hope yet.
I hope you find the answers you are looking for. SC is a great place to come for help and support. I hope everything works out!
