Default newly diagnosed and ttc#1

I also posted this in TTC...
So here is my story:
I have been on and off birth control since highschool... I was on orthocept, desogen(made me sick), ortho evra(the patch- it made me even sicker), and nuva ring.
I have always had the perfect 28 day cycle 5day AF etc (I started AF at 10yo). the last couple of years i would have intense pain that alternated each side, each month...i was told at the time it was ovulation. i was going to planned parenthood at the time and they told me that the ortho evra was prob too strong for me so they put me on the nuva ring...
My DH and I have been TTC since April with no luck.... I started having spotting before AF in May- i have never ever had spotting.
I also gained 25lbs in a couple of months-no big deal except i have always had issues gaining weight not losing!
my june AF kept going and by the week before my 30th i was at 10 days strong!
The week I turned thirty 07/03, i decided to make appt with an allergist, my CNM and a general physician.
My general doc said nothing was wrong except my thyroid was one little tic below the range it should be- don't worry etc. i went to the cnm and she was like the thyroid runs everything etc....so i had the vaginal and regular u/s... the cnm told me that i have pcos and fibroids as well.
It is weird to finally get diagnosed because there was a part of me that has always thought something was wrong- even before i was having symptoms but i was afraid to voice it...
The interesting thing in all of this is that my DH had a very successful heart transplant in 1995... he is on many meds that are def. probably hurting his spermmies (prednisone & rapamune among others) and he cannot stop taking them. we always have assumed it would only be him that would have the fertility issues....
so we are excited for our appointment with the RE on 8/26!

Hello! I am also fairly new to this site and TTC. I am on month 2 of Met and Clomid and REALLY hoping that we find out in a week or so that there is a little one on the way. I wish you the very best!

I love the support network this website provides! I have been checking out the TTC forum and posted there before noticing there was also a newbie section.... I don't know what I would do with out this forum!!! I have already learned so much and can't wait to start meds. dh and i are lucky to have some insurance coverage for IVF, lots of family support, and are hoping to get preggo with multiples (knock it out at once?)....
baby dust to all!!!!!
