Default Newly pg - synthroid dosing question

Hi,
At 17dpo I was at TSH=1.3 which is just perfect. Do I need to increase my dosage immediately bc I'm pg? Or wait until my next checkup in a few weeks to see what levels are then?

You need to wait until you have your bloodwork and see what the results are at that time, your physician will instruct you on what needs to be done. When I was PG with my son, my bloodwork was perfect each time. My dosing was never upgraded, it remained the same through out my pregnancy and I'm still on the current dose from two years ago. Each time I have my blood work, it's always in appropriate range. My current dose is .75.

Thanks Twizzles, that makes total sense. When do you recommend I schedule my next appt for? 8 weeks along? That's only 4 weeks past my last visit, but erring on the side of caution may not be a bad thing....

My current doseage is .625 (I alternate between .50 and .75)

That's totally up to you. Depends on when your last test was performed. Insurance will only pay for it like every 3 months or so. I would suggest you call your doctor and let him/her know your concerns.

I called and the Endo would like me to come in as soon as my/his schedule allows, just to start a baseline file for this pregnancy, even though my RE took a blood draw. Luckily my insurance covers unlimited bloodwork for a $15 copay each visit.
