Default Nexxus VitaTress User comments

I was wondering for the peopel out their who use this what kind of results they have had. I have read good things about in in here in a few posting but was wanting to hear more about it. I have been using the shampoo, spray in conditioner and the biotin creme stuff for the scalp for about two weeks now. Plus at least once a week using Nizoral(spelling). Also I have been taking Biotin and a vitamin B complex. I have noticed less shedding and the white almost dandruff but not I think it is the DHT on my scalp has improved a bit. Does anyone use the vitamins that go with the Vitatrss line, it seems like it has good stuff in it? What are your thought on this hair regimine?

Thanks for your thought!!!

Hi Elaine,

I am interested in this too. I have tried many, many shampoo's, etc. and have not found anything that has helped my hair loss at all. However, I too have heard good things about the Nexxus line of products and would like to know more before I rush out and buy it. I am currently using Nioxin, but have not seen any results as far as decreased hair loss goes.

...I wish there was a magic potion or something that we could use that would just get this hair loss problem under control.

Amen to that. I hate hair loss. Geez I used to have the best hair ever. Then just last weekend my boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversay camping and guess what I got. Sunburned head!! Arrg my hair is alright when it is dry but I guess it is not too good when it is wet. Darn it!
Anyways I used Nixion through one of the trials three bottle uses and never noticed my hair getting better at all. I will hate to say with the Nexxus I have not been very good about using the lotion on my head at night, sometimes I forget. (durr) But do think it is working the best so far. Plus the lotion stuff you rub in makes you give yourself a head mesauge and it has a mint cooling effect which is nice. It also smells pretty good too. Nioxon yucko smell!!
Anyways thanks for your reply. I have been trying to find info on this from real people like in chat rooms and stuff and found one for black women growing their hair out longer and most of them said they liked it alot but it did not really say if they had hair loss problems or not.
Anyways thanks for your post and I do hope you get results with Nioxon.
Sincerely,
Elaine

I switched from Nioxin to Nexxus Vita Tress one month ago. I had been using Nioxin for 2 months before I stopped. It didn't really help with the hairloss and it made my scalp flaky and itchy. I also hated the smell but that's subjective! The Nexxus Vita Tress shampoo made my hair very shiny and after a month of using it, it looks a bit thicker. The hairloss hasn't stopped but I have a feeling that the quality of the hair has improved. I also take a high dose of Biotin every day (5000 mcg) and that might have helped. Good luck to you too!

Thank you for your imput. Do you have any advice on applying the lotion stuff to your scalp. I am finding that pretty hard to do. I have to keep rubbing it in and rubbing it in. Although that is probly good for my poor scalp. Anyways I still like it.

Sincerely,

Elaine

Do you have the Conditioning Volumizer? I bought it too but I don't use it much because it's so sticky! I don't have the biotin cream but I'm considering getting that too. What I've noticed about the Nexxus shampoo is that it contains a lot of ingredients, vitamins and herbs and stuff that are supposed to promote healthy hair, like zinc, inositol, biotin, l-cystine, niacin, licorice etc. I always leave it in for 3-4 minutes. I really hope it 'll be worth its money in the long run.

No I did not buy the volumizing conditioner because I did not think my hair needed it but I have so many split ends the spay in conditioner is not working as well as I hoped but my poor hair has been so abused I was thinking of buying it this Sunday since the place I go has a deal then. So it is sticky huh? Does it condition your hair well though? The leave in does a good job I just think my hair needs more. As far as cost goes the place I bought mine at will give me store credit if I don't like it and it says you should see improvement within 45 days or so. Plus they have like a card that you get stamped so after you spend so much you get so much off and such. I would recommend the biotin creme stuff it is pretty cool but my hair is soooo fine and thin I don't use til night time but I do think it helps the shedding and alot faster then anything else I have used. I think after I use up my B vitamins and extra Biotin I am going to get the vitiamins that goes with this. Like you said it has tons of good for you hair and body in them and they really aren't that badly priced for what it has in them and it says you can still safely take a multivitamin with it. The Biotin creme smells minty in your hair and is pretty strong smelling until it drys and stuf, I guess it is kind of like brushing you teeth or something, but I don't think the shampoo helped with the hair loss really maybe helping promote healthy scalp I think applying the biotin creme very well like giving yourself a good head messauge helps the most but it is kind of hard to apply and since I have been using this stuff my hair has been more fluffy I guess to it is even harder to apply but I guess that is good. Anyways sorry so long I actually enjoy a good hair loss preventor conversation since this is probly the most embarrassing thing for me. Hope all goes well for you!!

Sincerely,

Elaineno10

Thank you for your tips! I will definitely try the cream. Unfortunately I can't find Nexxus products anywhere in Greece so I have to order them from the UK. It's quite expensive with shipping and all. But at this point I would do pretty much anything to stop my hairloss!

Good luck to you!

Ow wow,

Sorry you are having such a hard time finding it. That suck. I was thinking about buying it on-line but I wanted something to look at in hand. I really hope it helps and these people should have this product availible everywhere. Grrr!! Anyways I was just reading about the thread about stopping hair loss and the one woman was advocating wigs or hair pieces. And there is nothing wrong with that!! THat is great. I would rather not use one if I do not have too but if I do then I should start accepting it now. I mean I am as low maintenence as they come and don't want to deal with it. But as far as I read most woman do not loose all their hair so I figure in beginning stages using a good scalp regimen is worth trying out. I have always had good results in the past when I used salon products so that is why I am trying out Nexxus. Some of the alternative therapies sound hopeful too. And plus I have come to the fact it is not the end of the world. Geez when the doc's told me there is nothing they can do I was sooo depressed! I thought no guy would want me and I would be a feak of nature because I had never noticed a woman loosing her hair before. Now I realize most woman have hair thinning problems. And I never noticed before because I was not thinking about it. And that will be the norm as you go out into society everyday. Unless they are already loosing hair they are not going to notice!! For the most part and whatever guys go bald all the time. Yes this part of it sucks but at least there are things you can try and you can cover it up with. Geez anyways it is not uncommon to wear a wig anyways, my Grandmother had no hair loss and she had wigs to wear just to change her hair style. I told my boyfriend within the first week of getting together(because at that point I was not sure why this was happening) and he was like that is all, whatever. He supports me and listens to me wine and cry and checks to make sure it is not getting worse(although he is probly too sweet to say it is) but who knows. For me when it really hit me I thought the world was going to end but hey I guess I am just trying to say no it does not and there are worst things that could happen. On the good side I found this site and I get to talk to others who understand what I am going through.

Love you guys!!!!

Elaine

WEll I am going for it. I found a website and I think the prices are reasonable. I will post it and if someone could let me know if the prices are comparable, that would be great.

I was reading about the hair pieces as well, and while that is not the way I want to go, if it does get to that point, then I won't have a choice. And after my crying session this morning, I realize that there are worse things in the world and have experienced worse things....it is just a shock and definitely not something that I was even close to expecting...I have always had the THICKEST LONGEST healthiest hair....just very depressing.

Here is the website.

I've used this shampoo for quite some time and it's helped noticeably, and I always recommend it to other cysters!!! I notice a lot less shedding in and out of the shower when I use it. I think it's actually helped a little with some regrowth, but that could also be attributed to the Metformin or the prenatals I take as well. I have the scalp cream, but I always forget to use it! DOH! I can't take the vitamins, they made me sick to my stomach for some reason.
Just stick to it, keep on using it, I hope you get the results too!!!

Thanks Rebecca,
I think it was posting you put up here is why I decided to use it. And I like it too. I am not on Met because I can't even get a try dianoisis, the doc says maybe dur dur dur! Sorry (mini rant)! Thanks again for your imput!!
Momof3girlies: That is a good price for this product. Great site!! Yeah I hate thinking about the hair piece or wig thing too and trust me I grew up in a small town and even though I was overweight at least I had better hair then anyone else! Then for the first time my scalp get sunburned while I was swimming, grrrr!!!!!! I guess I don't have the best hair anymore. Anyways it is not about that anyways, crap when I realized what was happening I wanted to lie down and die. But life is not like that and there is more to a person besides hair!!!!!!!! When I told my BF I was all crying and shaking and stuff and he was like oh that is it! You where so upset I thought you where going to tell me something really serious. So he is cute and loves me for me. Geez I could have wound up with some jerk. So life works out as it should and a person can grow from anything. Trust me if a new a magic potion I would totally be letting all you guy in on it!!

Sincerely,

Elaine

Hi Guys,

So I have been using the Nexxus shampoo for awhile. I have not been using the creme every night like I was in the beginning. I have also been taking my vitamins and also alternating the Nizoral shampoo. Well now the white junk at teh roots of my hair is almost none existant. It still seems to me a shed alot not as much as before but only alot when I use the Nizoral.

Anyone else have any comments?

Sincerely,

Elaine

Hey, I have been using Nioxin products for 1 month and I havent noticed less hair falling out. It is so upsetting, I cant stop it. What is the difference between Nexxus and Nioxin? Do u buy Nexxus at a hair salon also. How many steps are there? Is it around the same price as Nioxin or more? Has Nioxin not helped for some and Nexxus has? I am so sad about my hair and need help. Thanks
