NHS and laser treatments Hello!
Well, I just got back from an appointment with my GP and it turned out to be very eventful! I was going in for my referral to see Mrs Hussain (excellent gyn/ob at Whipps Cross Hospital in London) so I could get on Metformin and I was complaining about having to pay for laser treatments soon because the hair 'thing' is driving me nuts now, and she said 'oh, i'll set you up to see a dermatologist at whipps cross who specialises in laser treatments, he'll probably be able to sort that out' and it would be on the NHS...this is supposedly allowed if the dermatologist signs off on it.
Have you guys ever heard of this? I thought dermatologists were only for people with acne (the ONLY symptom related to PCOS I don't have...hehehehe). I'm really excited about this...If any of you know whether this is possible or not, or if you've had it done on the NHS, let me know please.
I'd love to hear from any of you in London/UK, share stories, NHS horrors etc and talk about how not nice the weather is today!!!
Take care!
