My Mood: Points: 14,252.17 Bank: 1.08 Total Points: 14,253.25 | NIAGARA (or Hamilton) cysters - I need beds! I am moving from a furnished apartment in St Catharines to an unfurnished apt in Hamilton. So I need two decent single (or possibly double) beds by Tuesday. And I'm on a student budget, so they can't be expensive. Used is ok, as long as they're in good shape. Where should I go? In regular stores, we'll be paying at least $500. I've been hunting craigslist and kijiji, but no leads yet...

My Mood: Points: 1,949.32 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,949.32 | Hi!
There is a used furniture store on Ottawa Street in Hamilton. It's called Mr. Max's and it is across from fabricland. They have high turnover, so sometimes they have great stuff, and sometimes not so much. The other option would be to check the bulletin boards at McMaster and Mohawk. Students tend to try to sell off their mattresses and furniture at the end of the semester. Also the Value Village at Fennell and Wentworth has had mattresses for sale in the past.
When I was on a student budget I bought two cheap mattresses from Ikea and just put them on the floor. I miss it, because it was more comfy than my bed now.
Welcome to Hamilton!

I see you're getting IF treatment - are you at the Centre for Reproductive Care? I just started there. I'm also starting my first inject/IUI cycle soon - hopefully in May. All the best to you!

My Mood: Points: 1,949.32 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,949.32 | Yep I'm at the CRC. Starting injectibles and iui. Went today for my CD3 ultrasound and bloodwork. I take my first injection tonight.
My doc there is Dr. Karnis. She is great. The interns she has...well...they have to learn to work on their communication skills and bedside manner. But that's why Mac is a teaching hospital.

My Mood: Points: 14,252.17 Bank: 1.08 Total Points: 14,253.25 | I'm with Dr. Karnis, too! There's at least one other cyster on here who's at CRC.
I've been happy with the residents so far.
I am hoping so much that I can start injects in May. If my May 1 appointment turns out to be yet another consultation, I will be very unhappy. I've been waiting to start injects/IUI for nearly a year.
I hope your cycle goes well!

And I second the idea of Value Village (or VVBoutique as I like to say) on Upper Wentworth and Fennell. I've found some awesome stuff there in the past.
