Default Niaspan for PCOS

I was just prescribed Niaspan for my PCOS. What can I expect from this medication? I am currently eating healthy and exercising in order to lose weight... Does this medication aide in weight loss??

You can expect Hot Flashes (Flushing) where it can turn your skin red. It is a Cholesterol lowering drug (lowers LDL and Triglycerides)
helps in raising HDL the good cholesterol. This has a potential risk for increased Liver Function so you should not drink alot of alcohol with this med.
Doesn't help with weight loss, Sorry.
