Default Nioxin for Hair Loss...OTC/Retail

Just a quick heads up on a product my sister told me about this holiday weekend. I don't know if there have been any posts on this, but here goes...

Its called Nioxin and its an entire line of products offered at some of the more upscale beauty retailers. It carries shampoos, conditioners, and scalp treatments, all with an agent that supposedly blocks DHT (the hormone which causes us cysters hair to fall out).

My older sister is only just beginning to suffer some very light hair loss...but she swears its completely stopped since starting this product.

The "starter kit" has one large bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and one bottle of intensive scalp treatment and runs about $25.00. I'm planning to pick one up this week (gotta wait til payday).

She told me that this stuff really goes to work immediately and you can FEEL it right away...for whatever thats worth to most of you.

I hope this works..gotta do something..I'm starting to shed all over now instead of just my crown.

Btw...I found it at my local Trade Secret beauty salon/retail outlet. Check out their web site for a location near your zip.

Hope this helps!!!! Love y'all!

Default I just started using the shampoo

My sister who is also a cyster...she says this product really helped her slight hair loss (mine is very slight too). My hair is very fine, shiny and looks normal to most people, however I notice I have LESS OF IT than I used to.

I just started using Nixoin shampoo for normal hair (even though mine is colored). I first use my normal shampoo (like Aussie Shampoo or Progaine). Then I lather up a 2nd time with Nixoin. I do not use the conditioner or anything else. My sister said she did not feel the conditioner working like the shampoo.

After 3 days of straight shampooing, suddenly some hair is shedding on my shoulders (I just picked about 3 or 4 hairs off my shoulder). I read this is NORMAL and to be expected.

I will also post here later and say how it works out for me.
