Default Nizoral Question

I started using Nizoral 1% last week. I'm using it everyday. Is that ok? I heard you were only supposed to use it 2 - 3 a week. What should do?

Directions say 3-4 times a week, I think, but I use it pretty consistently with no trouble.

When I use it (maybe for a week or so, every several months) I use it every day. Never had any problems. If you're going to be using it every day for months and months, you might way to ask your Dr.

I'm using it for my hair loss. Hoping it helps. I'm also using Rogaine but I'm so flakey. Ugh....

Can you use vinegar? I don't know if that would interact with the Rogaine or not, but I've used vinegar lots of times for flakes or itchies or to help when my hair starts looking too thin or flat. Works great, plus it's natural, so I don't think you'd have to worry about it.

I will sure give a try... but Eww... the smell. Is that white vinegar? Do you leave it on or just rinse it? I wonder if it will affect the color on my hair.

Thanks

Yeah, I used the distilled white vinegar, and you're right it stinks. But I guess it could be worse. I usually used it either when I didn't have to work the next day, or did it the night before, to let some of the smell dissipate. You can always spritz on a little body splash or perfume on your hair if you're worried about it. I did usually rinse a little, because the smell was a little too much for me otherwise, but not too much. Basically just one pass over my hair with the shower head, if that makes sense.

I actually need to do it again because my scalp is getting itchy.

What I do, is have a really big 32 oz plastic soda cup in the shower. The last thing I do before I get out, is put one tablespoon white vinegar in the cup, then fill it up totally with water, then pour that over my head, and don't rinse out.

My hair looks soft and shiny, gets rid of the itchies, and it does the same thing for my skin. An vinegary smell is only there while my hair is still wet. It's gone when my hair dries.

Now, that's a good tip!
