Unhappy No AF after provera?

Ok, so this is me just freaking out a bit since prometrium didn't work. My doc just prescribed me 10mg provera for 10 days, and I'm already worried AF still won't show. Has anyone had this problem?

Provera didnt work for me. My RE said that is rare but it does happen. When it didnt work for me my RE had to start new cycles without ever seeing AF. I think they want you to wait at least 10 days after Provera before completely giving up on it working.

I was prescribed the same thing a few years ago. my period didn't start until 16 days after i took the last pill! everything I read said that on average your AF should start between 5-8 days after taking the last.

Hi
I'll be taking provera soon and I'm worried about this because I don't respond to progesterone as I should, anyway thanks for making this thread!
Please keep us posted on whether AF arrives or what your RE says! x

I will for sure keep you updated. I am keeping my fingers crossed it works! I haven't really had too many side effects from it yet, so I guess thats a good thing. I was really nervous when my doc told me its like PMS in pill form. I just hope that doesn't mean I won't respond to it at all!

today is the 13th day since i took the last of my 10 provera pills and still no period! any chance i'm pregnant (wishful thinking) and that's why my period hasn't started? My doctor told me it could take up to 2 weeks (but has always started a few days after i stopped) so I'm waiting until tomorrow to call and ask them, what now? anybody have this happen and what does the doctor do?

Call your doctor. I called mine after it didnt work in 10 days. They said that was enough. They did an u/s and checked my lining and sure enough... RE said there was no AF in sight with my thin lining. So we went ahead and started a cycle without ever having AF. And I ended up gettnig prego on that cycle. You could also try Progesterone if you havent tried that before.

I am having a similar problem. On regular Met, I always started my AF cycle the days after I took my last dose of a 5 day 5mg Medroxyprogesterone cycle. Well, now when I took it to induce a AF before a beach vaction with hubby, no sign of it a few days later. I am very frustrated and trying not to obsess about it, since I am sure that cant help! The only thing I can think of is this is the first cycle I have tried to induce after being on Met ER (in my 3rd month of the ER now).
