no boobies

i have pcos but am not overweight nor am i very thin i'm just average size still i have a lot of facial hair also i have no boobies. i feel so insecure since my tummy is higher than my breasts and people are always asking me if i am 13 or 14 when i am 17 does anyone else have this problem and does saw palmetto really help in increasing breast size if so how long does it take

Hello there! I am 26 and like you, I am thin but not too thin, just normal weight and yet have nooooooo boobies!!! I always thought this was because of the PCOS but i think it just has to do with genetics. And I'm a AAA which is tiny!!The good thing when you get older is that people always think you are younger. WHich is good

Or you can always buy some later! lol!
I wouldnt worry about it too much,just focus on getting yourself healthy. Low Carb diet, exercise, lots of veggies ect.. talk to your doc about Metformin, as this can help with the hair growth or an Androgen lowering medication that will lower the testosterone in your blood. I was exactly the same as you when I was 17!

It was an awful feeling to be so under-developed.

I developed really late and looking back I think this was because of the PCOS.

I'm 26 now and I have small (but at least some!) breasts!

I wear a padded bra and I look normal...I really recommend padded bra's!

I think it's great that you know you have PCOS at age 17.

I didn't find out until I was 26!

When I was your age I had acne, irregular periods and no boobs and always wondered what was wrong with me!

I was put on the contraceptive pill which cleared my acne and regulated my periods...but didn't solve that nagging thought in the back of my mind...wondering what was wrong with me in the first place!

I really struggled with self-esteem at age 17. I was thin but I pretty much stopped eating because I "hated" myself. I hated the acne that just wouldn't clear up and I hated my flat chest. I also slept with a lot of guys because I thought this was the only way to get them to like me.

I wish at age 17 my doctor could have tested me for PCOS so then I would have known WHY I was different.

shane--sorry to hear how low you are feeling about your appearance. but like others said it is great you got diagnosed so early in your life, though you may not appreciate that now.
have you tried BCP. they can help clear up skin and can also make you boobies a bit bigger since they have female hormones in them.
not too sure on saw palmetto, think that is mostly an anti-testosterone. but it may help you.

I am a PCOS woman who is very much overweight with very small boobies.

What I do have would probably disappear if I got down to a normal weight.

I've also found that I don't have a lot of pubic hair. Yes there is some there and it is dark, but when I look at myself in the mirror, I see more skin than hair. I've seen my mom and all my sisters and I'm very unlike them.

I did some some reading some time ago which led me to believe it could be an estrogen issue.

I forget now if it was too much or not enough (though I think it was not enough), but it was linked to lack of breast development and public hair.
