I dont know what to do now.This pregnancy has been a blessing and a gift to us and now,my tears are flowing and my heart is breaking!! We did our first ever beta on the May 4th and it was 6506 and the progesterone came back at 8.78! the Oby/gynae sent us for our first U/S yesterday and she just called me to say that there was no heartbeart!!!!!!!!.
Even that yesterday the tech doing the u/s didnt tell me any thing ,i kept asking her what she is seeing and she said that they are not allowed to say any thing,,,she only mentioned that i my preg must be later than i thought!
The Dr told me that they saw a sack but no heartbeat and she is sending us to another beta cos she said that it could be too early,,,possibly 5 wks or it the preg may not viable or it could be ectopic.that i should go to emergency if i start bleeding or spoting!
What do i do???? have a really lost this first miracle ???? is there any hope for me????
am supposed to be 8wks 2 days,my LMP was march 11th.

Your Dr said it could be ectopic? I am confused. they would know for sure if it was ectopic from the ultra sound. Maybe you should get a second opinion because it just doesn't make sense to me.

if you're just going by your lmp and don't know when you ovulated, you could be less pregnant than you think meaning it's too early for a heartbeat? I hope everything goes well.

I'm confused as to why they would call it an ectopic if they saw a sac. I would definitely get a second and third opinion. They told me I was miscarrying with this pregnancy. I was even diagnosed with a blighted ovum after 2 previous doctors had seen a heartbeat. They were wrong. I am not miscarrying. I just saw the baby tuesday. s/he was moving around and there was a fast strong heartbeat. I wrote about this on the dec mommies thread as well.

i will try and get a second opinion,like i know that my periods has been irregular but i am also confused that she said ectopic cos i have not had any ectopic symptoms.infact since i got pregnant i have not even spotted a spot,no inplantation bleeding or any thing of the sort. i am so very sad now!!!

Thank you Ladies for your unwavering support.Am definitely getting a new Oby/gyn as soon as possible,she didnt have the grace to tell me how far along i measure nor did she break the news in a pleasant manner .meanwhile ,will go for another beta tomorrow and then get the result on monday or so when the dr calls with the result.But i still feel occational twinges and bearly there cramps.Am believing God,Who knows what tomorow have in store for me and my precious babe.

yukon queen hope your less far gone than you think you are and hope you get excellent beta results, some ob/gyn can be horrid, some of them shouldb=nt be in the profession that they r in. Ill have my fingers crossed for you.
