Default No immediate side effects? *(Newbie)

Hi gals- I am SO excited to finally start taking Met... wow.
So just three days ago I started to take Met (500mg) and had no stomach troubles or vomiting. Only effect I've experienced is a slight lightheadedness sometimes... there was only one instance of where I was naughty girl and decided to tempt Met and ate a piece of fried chicken (leg) but didnt eat the entire thing. Oh boy, i got stomach cramps from hell for about 3 minutes but nothing else happened. Today, I upped it 1000 mgs and haven't had any side effects... ? Is there any other women out there that haven't experienced any bad effects while starting to take Met? Don't get me wrong, I'm positive I'll have "those days" but im just confused as why my body isnt reacting like others I've read around here...

Also, what do you ladies eat for breakfast while taking Met? I have never ever been a breakfast person and eggs, some fruit or cottage cheese are already starting to get old!

Nah. The only effects I really got from Met were exhaustion and nausea when it was almost time for the next dose, for the first two weeks. I never really got any food-related ones. I'm at 2K/day and I can eat whatever I want (which is almost disappointing, really, it'd be easier to keep with my diet if I couldn't!!!....haha).

glad you are getting on with the met so well!! I find that as long as i avoid greasy/fatty/sugar foods as much as poss, and always eat with the met i am ok on it

For breakfast i'll have something like a fruit smoothie, or corn flakes/soya milk.

Thank you both for your replies--- I'll try the corn flakes After I think about it a bit, I do feel a little sick before I take the next dose, novachick, but its not too bad- i work a pretty busy job so im not paying too close of attention. Thanks again!!!

It's good to hear that some of you don't have the nasty s/e. I am starting Met today and hope I don't have the s/e. Thanks for being possitive and giving the rest of us hope that maybe we won't have problems

I have not had any s/e either. I was starting to worry that it was not working, since so many people seem to have trouble! Hope it continues going well!
