Default No insulin resistance...

Is it possible to have PCOS and have no insulin resistance? I had a blood glucose test run, and everything was beautiful and in normal limits and everything...
because of a screw-up of the lab, it still remains to be seen, what my prolactin, FSH and LH levels are... but when they did the lab tests- they randomly ended up doing a lipid panel and a cholesterol screen.. and happily, those numbers were all happy- though I need to boost my good cholesterol number a bit!

Do I NEED the metformin, if I have no problems with glucose tolerance? and will it hurt me?
also- has anybody else felt heart palpitations as a side effect to spironolactone, or metformin? I had them yesterday and it was weird.

You can find more on this by running a search on PubMed.

Re: Arguments pro/con metformin, there are several good sources for this by running a search on 'metformin' limited to this forum: http://www.soulcysters.net/forumdisplay.php?f=45

Re: your spiro question, did you try posting down in the hair forum? Many spiro users there.
