Question No longer taking Diane..

Not sure whether this is the right place to ask this but here goes.. I'm 20, diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago. Had clockwork AF cycle from age 11-16, when things started going wrong. Was finally diagnosed last year, went on Metformin first and then started taking Diane to regulate my cycle (and lost 40+ pounds in the process, and managed to get my HbA1C down to 5!). I had to come off the Diane after a gallbladder problem in March and have had 2 AF's since in April and May, although I haven't counted the days of each cycle (I figured I'd be back to no cycle so didn't bother..will know in about a week whether it is actually regular) from my own calculations I seem to have a perfect 28 day cycle still.. Is it likely that this will continue? If I'm having AF does that mean I'm O'ing too? I seem to have varying levels of CM, which I never had before I was diagnosed/treated. I feel much better in myself since quitting Diane and would love to stay off it for good.. any of you have a regular cycle just from the Metformin? is it normal to have perfect cycles for a while after coming off BCPs? I'd hate to go back to having no cycle..

It has been a couple of years, but as soon as I started taking Met I recall almost immediately getting regular periods...this was after years of sometimes going a year without any. I could hardly believe that all it took to have a normal period was that Met. I have maintained clockwork periods since. Jean
