You can either induce a period via provera or prometrium, and start accordingly, or you can take a pregnancy test and start any time. Just know that the start any time does not protect against pregnancy the first cycle - that's how I got pregnant on the pill. You might have more inclination to spot, starting at random, but I have had more than one doctor tell me it is OK to do it.

I've been told its OK to start at random (which pill will you be on?), but they always stress the "make sure you're not pregnant" phrase!! But, I'd call a nurse to make sure Everyone is different

Thanks for replies! I’m definitely not pg...I’m not sexually active...so that would be hard! haha but I know thats always a concern, so thanks for the heads up!. Ill be on Yasmin (sp?) Thats what I took the first time and my doc said since I was okay on it, I should stick to something I know wont mess with my body. The only thing I’m worried about is I don’t want to gain weight again. I only gained a pound or two but my boobs got bigger and I can’t handle it if the will get even bigger!!! Do you think that will happen? Or is it more like my body already went through the process of the BCP hormones and stuff so this time it wont make me fatter! (<<<for lack of a better term) I think I’m going to start it tonight because I remember that I wouldn’t see AF until 3 or 4 days after i started the sugar pills...and that was a pain because I wouldn’t get AF until Thursday or Friday and i would have to worry about it all weekend...if I start tonight ill get the 1st day of AF on Mondays which makes things easier....the weekdays are routine so its less to remember about! Thanks again....if anyone else has advice let me know...im open!

I always started my pills packs on a Thursday so as to avoid the weekend period. W/ a sunday start I always had a wednesday period and would still have a period on the weekend.

No idea if you will gain more weight, having been on Yasmin before - I'd think you'd react about the same as before, but anything is possible.
