Its a bit of a pain with PCOS, I am currently in the exact same boat.

I have this funny feeling I might be up the duff. But then again it could just be that I haven't had a proper period for over a month *sighs*. Pregnancy tests in NZ are really expensive too, so I don't want to take one because I am being neurotic!

I hear in America you can get cheap dollar saver ones or something? I would just try and get a cheepo pregnancy test to prove your not preggo.

Are you TTC or have you been on the pill solid for all of this time?

Are you sure you are ovulating? How long ago did you get off of birth control?

Most Dollar stores carry them. I would test with one of them to be sure.

Also, the only thing that has helped me know where in the world I am with my cycles is Temping bbt. I would highly recommend charting, this would like you know if you O'd or not.

If you haven't had a period in a year, you haven't been ovulating, there is no question about that! You may just start spontaniously ovulating, but that would be confirmed with either a period or a postitive pregnancy test with in 2 weeks. But if you havent had AF, you haven't been ovulated, and if you haven't ovulated, you haven't concieved! It wouldn't hurt to take one now, but you should go to your dr and get some provera to induce a period, your lining is probably VERY thick and waiting to come out and it's not good to go more than a couple months without a period. It can cause pain and major long term bleeding down the line. good luck!

If you have been a year without AF, you have probably been anovulatory for the entire time. BUT before you take some form of progesterone (Provera, Prometrium, NPC, etc) to induce AF, you should definitely take a pg test to confirm you are not pg first. It is possible to get pg without having AF... Ovulation occurs 10-16 days before AF, so conceivably, you could have ovulated and gotten pg without ever having bled for AF... I agree with a PP that you should try to induce AF (once you confirm you are not PG) as your uterine lining might be quite thick by now and that is not good for you and increases your risks of endometrial cancer. If you are consistent with taking your BCP, I would say testing within the 2 weeks of changing BCPs should confirm you are not PG... although if you have been on BCPs this whole time, you might want to figure out why you are not AFing.... Most BCPs enable you to AF every 28 days...(unless there are the new Seasonique types that allow AF every 3 months) HTH Dianna
