Default no reaction to met... problem?

Hey all....
I was just wondering... I started taking met about two weeks ago. I saw no s/e with the 500mg at dinner so three days later I started taking another 500mg with lunch and still saw now s/e. This week... 3 days ago, I started taking the final 500mg with breakfast. Well, I haven't noticed any of the nausea or poops. I know I should be happy about this but worry that it means it isn't doing anything for me. Should I be worried. The only thing that did happen is I ended up with a cold. Not sure if the two are related. Is there any way of knowing if this stuff is working?

Hi,
I started taking met almost 3 weeks ago and have either no or minimal side effects. Ive been taking 1500mgs for the past week and still nothing. I'm not sure about HOW to tell if its working or not. I've read that It may take 1-3 months , maybe even longer to show some kind of improvement.
After 3 weeks (mostly the beginning of the third) I have noticed change in my complexion for the better and more control over appetite and clearer thinking. I have included a change in my diet (more low carb) and make a conscious effort to exercise daily. So, in combination of these three, I feel better and more in control.
Has your doc recomended a gradual increase? After how long of a period? I believe that 500mgs is a smaller dosage and it is usually prescribed because the sde effects are horrible for some people. I went back to my doctor after a week and told him that I was fine and he upped the dosage.
Biggest thing Ive read though is to just be patient.

I had no s/e from met, except that I couldn't drink even a teeny amount of wine. Met worked wonders for me nontheless.

Hi everyone

I was wondering the same thing when I first started met a few weeks ago because I didn't have any of the common symptoms either. I was actually kinda mad that I didn't have any of the symptoms and was looking forwrding to losing some weight. But then I started spotting a week later, and by the third week, I was getting the occassional poops (sorry, tmi). So, you may be fortunate and not have any of the side effects OR they may come about a little later. I figured it's working now because I got a real af exactly 28 days after starting met and the last one I had on my own was in December.
