Hello!!

I am DEFINITLEY new to all this haha anyway I started on 500mg on metformin 1 time a day... and now i'm up to 1500mg a day. The very first day I had diarrhea and thats it. After that i've had no other side effects. I'm still extremley hungry all the time. am I just one of the lucky few with no side effects or is it possibly not working?! (oh and my dr never did any blood work or anything!! he knew I had pcos and just put me on met?!)

I've been on Met (2000mg) for about six weeks now. And in my case I have 'bathroom' side effects for about a week, and nothing else... so I'd say your a lucky duck

Consider yourself lucky. I missed most of last night's Lost episode as I was hunched over the toilet vomiting what little dinner I had.

Don't worry, I am not suffering from any side effect (I did lost my appetite which I think is a good thing). But I know Met worked on me. It cleared all my acnes, stopped my weight gain and even get my cycle back. Hope my experience helps.

Met made me so soooo sooo sick. I woke up screaming EVERY morning b/c I needed to use the potty. My husband sometimes had to help me to the bathroom. No diarrhea, but extreme pain every time I needed to go #1 or #2. I stopped it, I told the dr. they were going to have to find something else.
