There are still seasons even if you don't get snow. I used to live in FL and southern CA and we didn't get snow. It was lovely. lol But we still got summer, fall, winter and spring - although the cold was a lot shorter - and the fall - well, it's nothing like the northeast with the foliage! (I'm originally from MA). CA wasn't a huge change in weather; that was really only 2 seasons IMO. That I can remember anyway; it's been awhile.

We got a good amount of snow yesterday and we're getting more tonight. I haven't been around this much snow in a long time. I need to go buy some decent boots for it.

Have you gotten any yet?

I lived most of my life in the North Island of New Zealand. I only saw snow once and that was when we did a trip to the mountain.
When I moved to Dunedin (In the South Island) I saw snow properly. We probably get only a couple days of snow that settles every year though.

But thats what I love most about New Zealand. You're only a few hours from all 4 seasons no matter where you live. We had an exchange student from the US when I was at high school who's family had never seen the ocean!

No snow here.. I'm in south Florida. I am longing to leave here though and looking for a place where it snows during winter, the trees change color in the fall, the flowers blossom in the spring and it gets hot in the summer. Here it is hot year around w/ an occasional "cold spell" but to my snow friends it would be nice weather not "cold" (50's or so). So far DH and I have our sights set on Tennesse were just trying to tie up loose strings and get the heck outta here. Not to mention where I am is no place to raise a family.

We've got a bit of snow(just a tad north of Wheeling, WV), but nothing like most places in Ohio get during the winter. I know Mansfield was covered last year around tax season - we got caught in a blizzard visiting my grandma. DH and I were having a blast, but my mom was freaking out, lol. Now down in West Virginia, up in my grandma's holler... tons of snow and lots of hills to sled down.

Guess the grass is always greener...or whiter! LOL

I live in GA and it hasn't snowed here enough to close the schools in like 4 years. I would love to live somewhere it snows! It is soooo hot here in the summer, bleah! It was so hot last year our garage door warped. And our power bill in our small old house was $365/mo for May!!

Here in GA, forget snow! At this point in time, we'd appreciate any kind of rain. As much as I love snow (I grew up in the North), rain is what we need.

I definitely have all four seasons, but we rarely see any snow. Maybe a small flurry every year and actual snow about once per decade. But I love living near the ocean

My DBF has never seen the ocean, and has never been on a sandy beach.

Me on the other hand, I grew up in Pennsylvania, and was to the New Jersey shore every summer for vacation. -.-
