Question Non IR, will Metformin Help? Wat worked for you??

Hey! I'm new to this site, but I like what I see here... I see such a lot of strength and hope in the women here, and I love that.

I have two questions :-\
1. I am 20yo, not TTC, irreg periods, my last period was 6/2007 (u dont kno wat a relief it is to say that 2 ppl that understand & kno i wont get looked at like i have six heads!!). I am thin (but shapely thin, if that makes sense?) I am 5'6" 145lbs. & I am non-insulin resistant. My endo wants me to start Metformin, but I am a lil worried. My mom tells me that it's a diabetic medication & since I dont eat much to begin with it may lower my blood sugar and cause me to pass out?!! does ne1 kno wat Metformin can do for sum1 that hasn't gotten her period but is non insulin resistant??

2. Does anyone know of any good alt treatments for thin women??? It seems like there are a lot of treatments, but they r centered on the overweight PCOS population... & if your thin they just drug u up & say have a nice day. Has anyone done sumthing else and had it work???

Thanks!!!
