Default Nordette & Sex Drive

I've been on Nordette for the last 5 cycles and I'm finding that my sex drive is getting lower and lower (it was OK to start with but at the moment once every 3 weeks seems OK to me !!!).

I know that Nordette is meant to be a high testosterone/ androgen pill and other people seem to be doing fine on it sexually, but for me it really doesn't work and DH is getting frustrated !!

I've ruled out other causes of low drive (eg I am not tired or depressed etc). And I'm not on any other medication except 100mg thyroxin.

(Previously I was on Diane 35 for a few cycles but my drive COMPLETELY disappeared on that !)

I'd be grateful for any information anyone has on this.

Many thanks,

Amelia

I lost my sex drive on ortho try cyclen and then developed bad depression, so they switched me to Alesse (well, a generic version). On the ortho, the libido was slowly improving after about 4 months. I am not quite through my first pack of the Alesse, but I was amazed to feel so much more human on this one. My sex drive is better. Not as high as normal, but that is one sign the darn thing works, huh?

Talk to your doc. I complained at my three month check and she wanted to wait til six months to change, but I only made it five.

Many thanks for your reply - I guess I've got to see my doc and insist that I change to a different pill. This is my 3rd pill and the best yet so she's a bit reluctant to change it.

Previously I had quite a high drive and exhausted DH (LOL) but now its the other way round. DH is keen and I just can't do anything !

I'm just looking for a slight adjustment to the Nordette so I can feel fairly normal. I don't need to have a high libido, just a normal one !!

Has anyone else out there had a similar experience ? Has anyone else tried Nordette ?

Many thanks

Amelia
