Default Is this the "Norm"?

I have no excess hair growth on my body or my face!
I only shave my legs about every 2 weeks or more and even then I only have really visible hair around my knee area.
Don't think I am complaining because I think this is great but I am wondering if that is the norm in PCOS? That is if there is any such thing as Normal in PCOS!!!
I do have the hair loss on my scalp but in alot of cases, that I have seen here, most women seem to have both.
Are there others who have only one of these symptoms? If so let me know.
Oh and by the way I need all the info I can get on ways to help my hair to grow!
I have very thin hair on the top of my head only and I would love to hear if any of you have had any success with any of the stuff that is offered out there?
I used to use a Shampoo called SHEN MIN and I found that it was beginning to work for me and then the store where I purchased it discontinued the product.I can no longer find it anywhere!!

Not all women with PCOS have extra body/facial hair. Like you, I have thinning scalp hair, but rarely need to shave, especially now that I use Jergen's Naturally Smooth. Check the 'stickies' at the top of this forum for success stories, etc, about hair regrowth.

We're all different. One of the things that is characteristic of PCOS is testosterone levels higher than is normal for the average woman, but the extent to which they're higher and the effect they have varies enormously. With some, there's little obvious effect. With others of us, the result can be the development of features usually thought of as being associated with males -- facial hair which requires shaving daily, balding, etc. But these features don't necessarily all appear in all of us -- it's quite common for just one of them to appear in isolation.

I only shave my legs as much as a 'normal' person (aka w/out PCOS). And I wouldn't say I have a problem with excess body hair anywhere. I mean I have to keep an eye on my chin and chest and pluck a few hairs every now and then but really no problem. I also have had my hair thin out some since I was diagnosed but nothing so drastic that anyone but me would know.
