I got back some test results today, these were drawn on Jan 12th and I really need help with them.
here they are (remember they're in UK measurements)
DHEA-S~ 5.5 'high' {still looking this up}
17 alpha hydroxy progesterone (not the one that tells if you O'd)~ 5.6 which is 'normal' {so it isnt late onset congenital adrenal hyperplasia}
SHBG~ 65.6 'normal' {would normally be 'low' in PCOS, so it MIGHT not be PCOS}
Androstenedione~ 17.7 'high' {dunno yet}
Testosterone~ 5.5 'high' {usually high in pcos and other androgen problems}
Free andgrogen index 8.4 'high' {as above}
no progesterone result yet.
Havent looked these all up yet to see what it means, but when I have I'll tell ya

I think it implies that it is an androgen problem, but possibly not PCOS. This means I'll probably have to have an MRI done to rule out any tumours etc.
Yup, I'm worried.
Are these things supposed to be raised in PCOS?
many thanks to anyone who answers.
