I have been on Megace/Megestrol 40 mg three times a day for a month now. I have to take it for 3 months then have another biopsy and ultrasound done. I'm on this because I have a very very thick lining and pre-cancerous cells. I took Norethindrone twice a day for 14 days and had a very heavy period but it didn't get rid of the thick lining so my dr. put me on Megace/Megestrol.

I have been VERY moody and have been having BADDDDDD cramps. No bleeding yet just really bad cramps. They get so bad I double over in pain. Has anyone else experienced this on it too? Is it normal to cramp like that and not have an af?

I called the dr. office today and talked to the nurse. She said it's normal to be cramping very badly while taking this medicine. She said to rotate between tylenol and ibuprofen. She said not to expect a period until I finish the medicine. I have 2 more months of this stuff.

It really sucks because these cramps are killing me and doubling me over in pain.
