Default Normal Bloodwork but still PCOS?

This is my background. I'd love to hear if anyone else is similar and what they think my 'problem' is.
  • Off BCP 2006
  • Diagnosed with PCOS 2006 - main determining factor is irregular periods and pelvic u/s showing multiple cysts on both ovaries
  • I do ovulate every cycle, but my cycles range from 45 - 75 days
  • I have acne and oily skin
  • I am now noticing more hair in unwanted places!
  • All my bloodwork is NORMAL!
My main idea now is estrogen dominance. Any thoughts because I'm going crazy trying to figure out the problem in order to work on a solution. Thank you

My family doctor is supportive and thinks along the same lines as me. I'm trying natural ways to treat this. The gyno I was referred to is no help whatsoever. All he keeps saying is go on the birth control pill and then when you want to get pregnant (which is now) we'll put you on clomid. I'd rather try to fix the problem, not only correct the symptoms and use a short term fix. My naturopath wants to do a comprehensive hormone profile where over 15 hormones are checked. I'm out of town for the next 5 months, but will be doing this as soon as I get back.

My bloodwork was all normal as well. My doc said that just because my bloodwork came back as 'normal' it may not be normal for me and proof was in the u/s.

Same thing here. All my labs are normal now. Back when I was 11 (now I'm 23) I had high levels of free floating testosterone(sp?) and they put me on BCP's. Group Health did an ultrasound and everything was fine but I had like 95% of the symptoms for PCOS excet for the cysts. It wasn't until I talked to my doc 11/08 and she said that I had it no doubt. My doc thinks that my periods aren't normal when I'm not on BCP but it's hard to say beccause I've been on "hormone therapy" for all my puberty life. It's nice for a change to have a doc who'll listen to what I have to say about my body
